Autumn is a busy time of year for artists and makers. The Stanley Road Store crew are gearing up for the Christmas open house festival. China dogs and other stray ceramic beasts are being kennelled in the Lost and Foundry workshops. Cactuses are being coaxed along in the Hi Cacti shed. Tins are being recovered and perhaps squabbled over by Tin City and Seventy Seven Seas. Spooky and beautiful clay faces are being left to dry on windowsills in the last of the autumn sun under the watchful eye of Use and Take Care. A dozen or so makers and designers are creating and making and refining their wares ready for the big opening.
As usual there will be a stunning array of new designs and perhaps some recent faves - and don't forget, between now and Christmas, you can find the Stanley Road Store and Buddy and Beehive pop-up-shop in Fiveways, Brighton. Special offers every week for shop visitors! Please do come and say hello.
