Maxine Michaelides is a Manchester-born Greek raised on the Canadian Prairies before returning to England in the 90's. she has been a set-dresser and prop-maker at places including the Sherlock Holmes Museum and Glyndebourne Opera House, worked as a set dresser in TV, designed jewellery, produced 'zines and travelled with a circus. She had always had keen interest in lighting so taught herself the basics before getting further training and becoming a PAT tester. She soon began turning glorious, charming and often peculiar found objects into lights giving them a new life. Making lighting as Lost and Foundry, she is now very happily residing in Brighton with a book nerd named Tom and miniature Shnauzer named Hudson. Her lights are all unique. Just like all of us.
